Ingredients

For the Asphalt Pie
  • 24 Oreo cookies
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 gallon mint chocolate chip ice cream, slightly softened
  • 1/2 cup hot fudge sauce, warmed
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce, warmed
  • Whipped cream, for topping
  • Crushed Oreo cookies, for garnish

Equipment

  • 9-inch pie plate
  • Food processor or rolling pin

Method

  1. Crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs. Mix the crumbs with the melted butter until well combined.
  2. Press the crumb mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie plate. Freeze for 10-15 minutes to set.
  3. Allow the ice cream to soften at room temperature for 10-15 minutes. Scoop the softened ice cream into the chilled crust and spread evenly.
  4. Cover the pie and freeze for at least 4-6 hours, or until completely firm.
  5. Before serving, drizzle with warmed hot fudge and caramel sauce. Top with whipped cream and extra crushed Oreos. Slice and serve immediately.
